Visitors to the Leipzig spring trade fair report on a noticeable improvement in the supply situation in the GDR. However, the real situation outside the "showcases" of Berlin and Leipzig does not necessarily conform with this appearance, especially as more and more products from the normal range are being moved to the "exquisite" shops, which also entails hidden price rises.
